London Fit Out is proud to announce the completion of a full CAT B office fit-out and refurbishment for Populous, one of the world’s leading architectural practices specialising in large-scale sports and entertainment venues.

Following Populous’ acquisition of three floors within the newly refurbished Parklife Building in Putney, LFO was appointed to deliver the project in line with the client’s design brief and specification. Our team undertook the full MEPH design & build, working in close collaboration with the in-house Populous design team to ensure seamless integration with the existing CAT A services wherever possible.

The works included a striking new ground-floor reception, featuring stretched mirror ceilings, premium feature joinery, exposed services and a suite of new client boardrooms and meeting rooms. One of the project’s standout elements was the dramatic grandstand structure, created by cutting through the main slab to link the ground and first floors. This impressive feature is complemented by a double-storey AV wall and overhead stage-lighting rigs, forming a bold and memorable entrance to Populous’ London headquarters.

Across the first and second floors, LFO delivered contemporary staff workspace environments including new offices, meeting rooms, breakout areas, tea points and a large central café. With limited slab-to-ceiling height and no raised access flooring, all power and data infrastructure was carefully chased into the screeded floors to align precisely with the planned desk layouts.

Additional works included the construction of a basement comms room and staff gym, and the installation of a new Kone passenger lift complete with a purpose-built structural lift shaft serving all three floors. A new feature staircase between the first and second floors was also installed, along with a bespoke running track on both levels — a fitting nod to Populous’ reputation as global leaders in sports-stadia design.
